depa.tech is based on an API interface that gives you access to a collection of patent publications.
Intellectual property rights published by the six main offices (DE, EP, WO, US, JP) are promptly catalogued in an index based on elasticsearch.
The results collected from a search for metadata, bibliographic data and contents of patent specifications can be downloaded via a REST-based interface in the desired formats (e.g. PDF, TIFF, JSON, XML) and then integrated into own frontends, analysis platforms and content management systems. Both the raw data and the normalized data are available.

Why depa.tech?
Finding, visualizing or breaking down patent information, the use of the data is in the hands of the user.
All patent information is theoretically public and freely accessible. In practice, however, access to patent data is often artificially limited and restricted by technical barriers.
depa.tech was developed to solve this access problem. We want to give developers who want to create applications based on patent information simple and unrestricted access to patent data.
Where does depa.tech come from?
In 2006, mtc.berlin takes over the product deparom from the Bundesdruckerei (Federal Printing Office) and converts it from CD to DVD.
The deparom format determines the technology monitoring of competitors. Customers can now submit a search query and receive a DVD with the patent data which corresponds to their search profile.
This service has been further developed with depa.tech since 2017.
Our customers can now access the data archive of patent publications themselves and manage their search queries independently.
